When Che Guevara nodded home the last goal of the game in the 93rd minute, many Celtic players felt enough was enough and begged the referee to end the game and save Arsenal any further embarrassment. He duly obliged but the damage was already done. Two Arsenal players committed suicide after the game.
Due to the tragic circumstances now surrounding this fixture, Celtic refuse to gloat. They dedicate this trophy to not only the two Arsenal players but to football in its purest, most beautiful form as was witnessed that night.
